• Eden aspires to contribute to an economically sustainable system that uses petroleum to improve local agriculture and industry.
• Eden commits to avoid over-exploitation of petroleum resources. It further commits to work to offset investment in petroleum resources only to the extent that investment is made in adequate substitutes. Eden is committed to maintaining biodiversity, atmospheric stability, and other ecosystem functions.
• Eden shall always work toward creating a socially sustainable local economy where there is an equitable distribution of petroleum wealth, including the adequate provision of health, education, political accountability, gender and indigenous participation.
